farm_stay_skagit_hoehn_bendBefore your upcoming stay at Hoehn Bend Farm, it’s important to know what to expect so you can pack accordingly. The information below may help you plan for your Farm Stay.

Hoehn Bend Farm is a working farm, so please be prepared for outdoor conditions. While you’re not required to help us out with farm chores, it can be enjoyable to interact with our animals and really experience life on a farm. Please bring shoes that have closed toes and some clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty if you plan to help us out with farm chores.

  • We have a variety of boots in various sizes and are happy to loan them to you.
  • The mudroom is a great place to enter the house and leave wet or muddy shoes, boots, and jackets. We prefer that shoes be removed before entering the Farm House.
  • We provide hand soap, but please bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and other bath products you might like to use.
  • We provide bathroom and bedroom linens, so there is no need to bring towels or bedding.
  • We provide dish washing detergent, dishwasher soap, and laundry detergent.
  • We provide bottled water in case you prefer to use it for cooking and drinking.
  • However, we do not prepare full meals. There are two grocery stores in town as well as several restaurants within a short driving distance.
  • There is a carport attached to the Farm House and there is plenty of space for parking additional vehicles, a boat, or a trailer.
  • We have good cell phone service by most carriers, but we do not have wifi or cable TV.  Free wifi is available in town just minutes away, and some guests bring their own “hot spot” devices.
  • Smoking is not allowed anywhere on Hoehn Bend Farm, other than the enclosed carport area. The risk of setting fire to the hay stored in the barn or other buildings is just too great. If you smoke in the carport area, please dispose of cigarette butts in the container of gravel that is provided.  Thanks for understanding!
