You are invited to assist with feeding the animals (cattle, sheep, pig, chickens, and cats) with our supervision or participate in other farm chores in which you are interested.
Or…just relax and enjoy the quiet contrast to city life.
In the Winter: Feeding cattle in the barn is the best way to observe their behavior and gentle, curious ways. All of the farm activities are at a slower pace, so you have more time to relax, catch up on your reading, or take a long afternoon walk followed by a delicious nap.
In the Spring: Help plant the gardens. Collect herbs from the raised beds to season your meals.
In the Summer: Watch newborn calves frolic in the pastures. Observe the multi-step hay production process that will be taking place in our fields and throughout the neighborhood. Help weed the gardens and then harvest some veggies for your dinner.
In the Fall: Harvest pumpkins, squash, and gourds. Pick apples and make apple cider. Harvest wild blackberries and make jam.
