Our visitors tell us over and over again how relaxed they were during their visit. Many of our visitors stay at Farm Stay Skagit because of our great location which makes for an excellent home base for bicycling, hiking in the North Cascades National Park and Baker Lake, as well as fishing on the Skagit River. You can also plan your farm stay during Skagit Valley’s wonderful events centered around beautiful farmland–the tulip fields during the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, the farm tours and harvest festivities during Festival of Family Farms, bird watching during the Skagit Eagle Festival, and viewing the large flocks of snow geese.
Our Farm House was built at the turn of the century and has been completely remodeled to offer comfort as well as all the modern conveniences that you might desire. Our farm stay comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms and has a large kitchen, dining room, and outdoor eating area with a propane barbeque.
We are proud of our developing herd of Dexter Cattle, an Irish heritage breed that is naturally small. Join us in feeding the cattle–you will soon learn that watching them eat is an amazingly relaxing activity. You will also meet our shetland sheep, Polly (the pot-bellied pig), the Hoehn Bend chicken crew, barn cats, and Maggie, our collie. Meet our critter community on Facebook and our Critters webpage.
You are invited to assist with feeding the animals with our supervision and/or participate in other farm chores in which you are interested. On the other hand, you can just relax and enjoy the quiet contrast to city life.
